The amazing El Morocco Inn & Spa began life in the late 1950's as the “Caravan Spa-Tel”, taken from the terms “spa” & “hotel” because of the areas' small inns and abundant natural hot mineral springs - which feed our swimming pools & hot springs spas.
Folks came from near and far….pouring in as plentiful as the healing waters they sought. Overlooking Palm Springs, both the cold and the hot water discovered running beneath this little hamlet were found to be full of life replenishing properties!
With just 10 guestrooms facing the swimming pool, this intimate inn is completely private. In order to provide guests with a "transporting feeling" this hideaway was reborn as the El Morocco Inn & Spa, and has been restyled in an exotic Moroccan tradition. The Kasbah Lounge and Library complete the indoor/outdoor spaces.
The grounds have been landscaped to reflect the desert surroundings and the natural hot springs pool and spa have been fully refurbished, providing a place of respite and repose for weary travelers once again.
Nicknamed “The Spa City”, Desert Hot Springs is experiencing a renewal all its own. Dining, shopping, and golf destinations are popping up under the watchful eyes of local government and residents dedicated to maintaining the city's reputation as having the "best drinking water in the world". Overlooking Palm Springs, this sleepy foothill town is located at the threshold of a thriving resort community.
